In a dead world where a companionship is rare, trust is as dangerous as betrayal.
TRUST

We Trust Film is a collective film club rooted in truth, connection, and the power of storytelling. Through this collective, short films and meaningful dialogue will be created. One of our first projects, Trust, fittingly marks the beginning of our journey into the deeper meaning of storytelling and the power of a creative community in today’s world. As we grow, we want you to grow with us. We’re excited to transform this into something that fosters community and builds lasting connections. Support the process of our new short film:

SYNOPSIS

Trust is a psychological thriller centered in a post-apocalyptic world, which follows Marci, a lone survivor as she navigates her mental health, loneliness, and loss, while yearning for connection. When she meets Jordan, who appears to be a trustworthy companion, questions arise:
Can Marci trust the world, or can the world trust her?
Beyond a post-apocalyptic backdrop, I created the story to be symbolically layered. It explores our current reality in the age of technology. It confronts extended human isolation, the loss of connection, declining mental health, and the fragile bonds we try to hold onto forcefully in a fractured world.
Director's Words:

"Trust illuminates the dire effects of neglected mental health, the extreme consequences
of isolation, and the universal need for companionship amid chaos.”
